The primary issues assessed include biodiversity conservation and restoration, cultivation and wild collection practices, human/worker’s rights, and community wellbeing. UEBT stands for conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, socioeconomic sustainability, fair/equitable sharing of benefits, compliance with legislation, and clarity about land tenure.
