Founded in 1995, Alternative Apparel markets sustainably created fashion basics for men, women, and children. Alternative aims to create clothes that cause minimal harm to people and the planet; their factories are WRAP-certified and assure clean and safe working conditions. These soft, lightweight pieces are created using 100% organic cotton, low-impact dyes, and post-consumer recycled fabrics. Approximately 1.8 million recycled plastic bottles are used in Alternative Apparel’s Eco* fabrics. Through their eco-friendly packaging initiative, Alternative Apparel has conserved 2,100 trees, 400 cubic yards of landfill, 860,000 gallons of water and 120 tons of CO2 annually.
