The Zapotec rugs are hand woven in Teotitlán del Valle, a small rug-making town about 40 minutes outside of Oaxaca City, where techniques, foot looms, and the passion for rug-making has been passed down through generations. Each rug is made one-by-one, woven row-by-row, with hand-dyed, locally-grown wool.
