Veja is a French sustainable sneaker brand. They are a certified B-Corp, verifying their commitment to sustainable and ethical practices throughout the product lifecycle and supply chain. The sneaker canvas is made from organic, agroecological, and fair trade cotton; the soles are made with wild Amazonian rubber; and the mesh is made up of 100% recycled plastic bottles. The majority of their fabrics are made of recycled material, some of which include: recycled jute, polyester, and cotton. Veja has also introduced a line of vegan shoes as an alternative to its leather offerings. These sneakers are instead made of B-Mesh, a biodegradable fiber produced with corn waste, synthetic suede, and organic cotton.
