The Tartan Blanket Co.

Striving to create natural products that bring warmth to people’s hearts and homes, the Tartan Blanket Co. emerged from Emma Macdonald’s wish to make traditional Scottish tartan blankets while incorporating increased sustainability beyond traditional natural materials such as wool and cashmere. With a contemporary edge, these tartan blankets are produced by communities of local dyers, weavers and spinners in mills across India and inner Mongolia. Beyond this, however, the majority of their products are made out of 100% recycled material and support traditional craftsmanship. As a Positive Impact company, the Tartan Blanket Co. has also launched the initiative “1% for the planet, 1% for the people’s commitment,” where 2% of all revenue is donated to protect the planet and support those in need.
