Maison Bengal

Maison Bengal was established in 2004 as a fair trade company in an effort to combat poverty throughout Bangladesh. Working in close collaboration with over 5,000 mothers and young women, Maison Bengal emphasizes the use of locally grown, natural materials, as well as the restoration and preservation of traditional handicraft skills. Working with three fair trade organizations, the company identifies the most marginalized areas in Bangladesh and provides their community-members with training in handicraft production. All products are handwoven and infused with the brand’s contemporary design, resulting in beautiful yet unique bags, baskets and other homeware items.
