Libeco Home is a Belgian textile company located in Kortrijk, Belgium. Kortrijk is a vital producer of flax, an environmentally friendly fiber. In 2018, about 136,000 acres of flax was sown in Belgium, France and the Netherlands, representing 80% of the worldwide flax production. Today, 100% of the linen sold by Libeco Home is woven in Belgium, where it is closely inspected yard by yard and mended by hand where necessary. Libeco Home is a heritage brand that is still managed by the fifth generation of the Libeert family. The company works closely with local flax farmers, spinners and finishers. Libeco has several certifications including The Belgian Linenâ„¢ (using the most eco-friendly, sustainable green processes possible) and Global Organic Textile Standard.
