Finisterre

Born from the need to make innovative and lasting products for hardy British surfers, Tom Kay founded Finisterre in 2003 above a surf shop in St. Agnes, UK. Kay’s brand is an outdoor apparel company that prioritizes lasting quality and sustainable manufacturing. Finisterre, a BCorp, now globally markets rugged apparel for men and women, as well as outdoor sporting accessories. Their apparel is made with regenerative and recycled cotton, wool, natural fibers like linen and hemp, and Yulex rubber. Finisterre also utilizes synthetic insulation, primarily Reprieve Recycled Insulation, a fill material made from ocean-bound recycled plastics.

Finisterre is steadfastly committed to sustainability and charity. The Finisterre Foundation is a Community Interest Company that supports other charitable initiatives aimed at providing equal access to the ocean. The Finisterre Fabric Use-Up Project repurposes unused material into wallets, totes, hats, and more. Finisterre also uses soluble, ocean-safe bags for packaging its products.
