Bamford
Carole Bamford, the owner and founder of Daylesford Farm and Bamford, founded these businesses on the belief humans must respect nature’s resources and the land that provides for us. Bamforeds three pillars of responsibility are, “Keeping craft alive; Enduring design; Preferred materials; and Community & collaboration.” Her fashion label, skincare lines, home products, and spa facilities are all based on the philosophy of supporting artisans around the world and using environmentally friendly materials. For its Home Grown Collection, Bamford sources wool organically and regeneratively from a small farm in Gloucestershire, and all of its knitwear is made in Scotland and Italy. The fiber sourced for Bamford’s fashion line biodegrades within 1-5 years — as compared to synthetics like nylon which can take up to 30-40 years. Some of their certifications include GOTS and RWS.
Bamford upholds philanthropic initiatives through their foundation, Lady Bamford Charitable Trust. This group works in partnership with governments and local communities to help JCB Group factory workers receive an education, gain access to employable skills, and build community engagement.
