Armadillo

Founded in 2009, Armadillo is driven both by ethics as well as aesthetics. Each Armadillo rug is handcrafted by skilled artisans, preserving old traditions and fiber techniques while using all-natural fibers that are certified with the Declare label. Founders Jodie Fried and Sally Pottharst work from both Adelaide, Australia and Los Angeles, CA with the goal of creating beautifully crafted rugs that support various communities of artisans all over India, as reflected by their non-profit Armadillo Foundation. The company is also partnered with Stars Foundation, which has been helping Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls nationwide attend school, complete grade 12 and transition to further study or the workforce.
