Founded in 2009, Armadillo is an ethics and purpose-driven business. Each rug is handcrafted using energy-efficient techniques. The Founders Jodie Fried and Sally Pottharst work from Adelaide, Australia, and Los Angeles, CA, and are the first Australian-American company to become a certified B-Corp. Their philanthropic efforts are reflected through their non-profit organization, Armadillo Foundation, which supports access to healthcare and education in India, Nepal, and the United States. This company also partners with Stars Foundation, which helps Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls attend and graduate primary school, and gain access to higher education and career opportunities.
