The tea is sourced directly from single-estate farms, which only harvest one type of tea. The farms are located in Taiwan, Japan, and China. Most teas grown in the US are infused with oils, fruits, and other additives. Recognizing a growing appreciation for authentic tea, Yung decided to create an online store that sells only pure teas. Her process of tea-making is as simple as gathering, drying, and packaging the teas–as pure as it gets. There are four traditional flavors: oolong, white, green, and black. Within each, Silver Needle Tea Co offers a variety of different leaves to choose from, such as Dragon Well, a green tea from Hangzhou China with an earthy, slightly sweet flavor.
The company selectively chooses which estates they decide to source from and prides itself on its relationships with those farms. Silver Needle Tea Co seeks to offer pure, single-estate tea while presenting a unique experience. The exceptional flavors and aromas create a wonderful chance to enjoy teatime.
