Emeco is a sustainable home and furniture company that uses recycled materials in its products. This includes polyethylene terephthalate, which is the material used for bottlecaps, barn wood and aluminum. Each year, Emeco releases a sustainability report, which is open to the public, listing statistics as to what it has improved for employee diversity, health and product sustainability. It’s latest report in 2018 has shown a drastic decrease in Emeco’s gender pay gap, from 22.5 percent in 2017 to 2.5 percent in 2018. Emeco has recently partnered with Coca Cola to produce the White 111 Navy Chair, a chair made of 111 recycled polyethylene terephthalate bottlecaps.
