Citizens of Humanity is one of the few denim companies in the United States that owns all of their production vertically. They manufacture everything at their own sewing and laundry facilities in close proximity to their design studios in Los Angeles. This helps with controlling the company’s quality of product and sustainability. Citizens cuts their denim on automated machines to maximize efficiency and minimize fabric waste. They use laser and ozone technologies to process their denim products which reduces the company’s water consumption. Sewing experts handcraft each pair of jeans and Citizens is careful to limit the number of products they put into the marketplace. For more information on their manufacturing process, click here.
