This unique hotel was created around the concept of “barefoot luxury.” Guests get to engage with the natural elements we so often take for granted. Nay Palad Hideaway launched in 2012 with this philosophy at the forefront. Roughly nine years after its opening, Nay Palad was devastated by Typhoon Odette in 2021 and required complete reconstruction. Founder Bobby Dekeyser and architect Daniel Pouzet were resilient during this time and worked together to restore their barefoot luxury resort as well as the environment and communities surrounding it. Nay Palad Hideaway reopened in 2023, entirely redesigned and constructed. The redesign features an array of local Filipino craftsmanship, such as hand-weaving, wood-carving, carpentry, and hand-blown glass, all done by Siargao locals.
