Our mood of the month is Passion!
“Passion is one great force that unleashes creativity, because if you’re passionate about something, then you’re more willing to take risks.”
– Yo-Yo-Ma –celloist
As we come out of hibernation and spring greets us with budding daffodils and tulips, our creative spirit awakens, inspiring new ideas, perspectives, and dreams. I start in mid-April to plant my flowers, trees, and vegetables on my terrace. Although I live in New York City, Spring reminds me that nature is everywhere, including my big city. April is a month to celebrate the life and pulse of our Earth. Proposed by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson, in 1970, April 22 marks Earth Day, a day in which we promote peace and pause to honor the environment. The last Friday of April, Arbor Day, we set aside a day to plant a tree.
As we clean out our closets, and de-clutter our homes, this is a good time to organize our thoughts to make room for creativity. Take a deep breath, have glass of Sancerre, smell the flowers, soak in the sun, and imagine…. Imagine what a full-filling creative life looks like and set a goal to explore what could be your passion, or to make the passion you already have become a reality.
