A LETTER FROM THE EDITOR
In the wake of the holiday festivities, January arrives as both an end to one chapter and a beginning of another. As we reflect on events, changes, and decisions made in the past year we are invigorated and hopeful for those yet to come. Festive decorations are replaced with the natural ornaments of our surroundings, snow-covered trees in hibernation, bright sunshine, and brisk refreshing air. In nature we feed our sights, spirits, and sense of smell. Following the cheeriness, holiday music, and flurry of friends and family reunions, January offers our ears some solace, devoting our attention inwards.
This month provides the gift of quiet, inward reflection. Take this opportunity to pull on the strengths and mend the weaknesses of the past, to enable the best possible beginning to a new year.
