GOOD SHOPPING GUIDE

The Good Shopping Guide Logo

is an accreditation program that allows a business or brand to demonstrate their commitments to health and safety for people, animals and the environment. Founded in 2001, this award system is an independent benchmark that strives to promote and incentivize corporate responsibility when it comes to environmental and social issues.

The Good Shopping Guide, created by The Ethical Company Organization, values the principles of equality, sustainable development and social justice, and the organization promotes these pillars by providing conscious consumers with access to the Guide’s research and knowledge on the most ethical and sustainable brands. They have since developed a Good Shopping Guide phone app, allowing consumers to scan product barcodes, and receive information regarding the ethics and sustainability efforts of the brand. This program also works towards curating a safer market for conscious consumers by exposing businesses that are implicated in offenses such as child labor, greenwashing, environmental degradation and human rights violations.
