Their comprehensive assessments investigate and analyze a company’s working conditions, treatment of animals, traceability and level of environmental stewardship before deciding on a certification status. Their guiding principles are centered around safe/fair working conditions, humane animal treatment, protecting soil and water resources, reducing pesticide risk, conserving energy, product transparency, and supply chain transparency.

All certified farms, ranches and food/beverage businesses certified are subject to third-party site inspection. For over two decades, Food Alliance has certified a range of agricultural products, such as fruits, vegetables, grains, livestock, eggs, dairy, grains, etc. Food Alliance continues to act as a champion for environmental stewardship today by actively encouraging better working conditions, humane animal treatment, cleaner water, reduced pesticide use, healthier soils and enhanced biodiversity.
