CertiPUR

CertiPUR-US Logo

ensures the foam in home furniture is free of harmful and toxic materials that are harmful towards humans and the environment. CertiPUR certified products are prohibited from using chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) in the foam manufacturing process. CFCs are known to contribute to ozone depletion, yet many foam-producing companies around the world still use these substances in their products. Thus, CertiPUR’s Certification programs ensure that a product meets standards for content, emissions and durability of tested products. Guidelines and testing requirements are transparents and open to revisions based on new scientific findings, as well as environmental and safety regulations.

Certified foam products are tested and analyzed twice within the first year of certification and re-certified annually thereafter. Furthermore, CertiPUR conducts random on-site foam production plant checks among all certified producers. CertiPUR is proud to assist manufacturers and retailers in differentiating their market products through sustainability certification.
