BODEGAS DE ARGENTINA SUSTAINABILITY PROTOCOL
offers certifications to Argentine wineries and vineyards that have demonstrated total compliance with all their sustainability protocols. To become certified, a business must undergo an audit that is carried out by an authorized certification agency. The agency will release a compliance report if the vineyard or winery has successfully passed all the assessments the sustainability protocol has to offer. The program also takes care to emphasize a holistic approach when it comes to sustainability, rigorously inspecting all the environmental, social and economic factors of a company’s viticulture before deciding on certifications. Developed in 2012, the Bodegas de Argentina Sustainability Protocol has now become one of Argentina’s most renowned and well-received sustainability certifications. Bodegas de Argentine developed a partnership with the Catema Institut of Wine in 2012, together representing approximately 90% of Argentina’s wine production and associated with 254 Argentine wineries.
