This program not only provides independent third-party certifications to farms, but also provides education and training to assist businesses in adopting more sustainable initiatives. LIVE certifications draw their standards from the International Organization for the Biological and Integrated Control of Noxious Animals and Plants (IOBC), an organization that advocates for sustainable, economically feasible, environmentally safe and socially acceptable methods of agricultural or forestry practices. Certifying over 300 Vineyards, LIVE has certified sustainable practices of winegrowers in Oregon, Washington and Idaho since 1999.
