THE ETHICAL TEA PARTNERSHIP
is an organization that strives to improve the livelihoods and working conditions of tea workers and farmers, as well as the environments in tea-producing regions. With a goal of generating a more sustainable tea industry, the Ethical Tea Partnership aims to create a positive systemic impact within three areas of tea: economics of tea, equality for women and youth, and environmental sustainability. They have outlined a “Theory of Change” plan that details their plans in addressing these three goals.
The ETP also closely supports and models their initiatives after the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals, supporting smaller communities on the ground while also creating sustainable strategic developments for the industry. ETP has experienced regional teams who offer specific services to various countries to address the most urgent needs in each area.
