BCI provides training in sustainable farming practices to over 4 million cotton farmers, workers and businesses, who they collectively call the “Farmer+” community. The Better Cotton Standard System takes a holistic approach to sustainable cotton production, accounting for environmental, social and economic sustainability. Products labeled with the Better Cotton logo come from brands who are Better Cotton Members. Better Cotton Members initially source a minimum of 10% of their cotton from Better Cotton, while committing to increasing to sourcing over 50% Better Cotton within five years.
