GOODWEAVE
guarantees that products are made and sold under healthy working conditions and without child, forced or bonded labor. Compliance requires complete transparency in the supply chain. For further verification, companies recognized by GoodWeave must adhere to unannounced inspections and visitations at all production facilities. In fact, each GoodWeave label has a unique code that can be traced back to the licensed producer.
In addition, producers must undergo a separate annual audit, documenting their improvements against the Standard’s five progress principles: recognition of freedom of association, no discrimination, protection of worker’s health and safety, respected working hours, wages and benefits, and minimization of negative environmental impacts.
