CARBONCARE CERTIFICATION
recognizes efforts in managing and reducing the emission of greenhouse gasses. Organizations are assessed by Enviro-access Consulting in their impacts on climate change. CarbonCare offers two levels of certification: Basic and Carbon-Neutral. The Basic Certification rewards organizations who carry out greenhouse gas emissions inventory in compliance with sustainable standards through an Enviro-access team or auditioning form and provide tangible proof of initiatives that demonstrate a commitment to greenhouse gas reduction. Meanwhile the Carbon-Neutral Certification is targeted at organizations seeking to establish neutral greenhouse gas emission compensation. For this certificate, companies must compensate for all direct and indirect energy emissions and provide proof of payment for or withdrawal of greenhouse gas emission reductions. Labels of emission reduction are awarded on an annual basis, which for first time applicants is proven through a verified carbon audit report in accordance with the CarbonCare Label Protocol.
