The mood of the month is Empowered.
With summer coming to a close, we welcome the autumn season with open arms. September invites change – the air cools, the leaves turn into vibrant colors, fall vegetables are deep with flavor, boots come out of the closet, but most of all, something in us changes. We are empowered to refocus and, in a sense, start anew.
Students are now returning back to school after Labor Day, and as adults, we too share that excitement like we felt that first day of class… the new clothes, the new books, the new things to learn. September is a month to be positive and open to opportunity.
Regardless of how busy you may be this season, empower yourself by taking control of the things around you. I encourage you to try to understand others, to be confident, and to try something new.
You can spot the Full Moon on the 16th, or count down to the Autumn Equinox on the 22nd. Later in the month, September 26th, eat an apple in homage to Johnny Appleseed Day, an American pioneer nurseryman who planted apple trees across the country… plus, they are delicious and healthy!
Enjoy the start of fall!
