A LETTER FROM THE EDITOR
What a buzz in the month of December … a month that engages all of our senses in high spirit. The energy can be exhilarating. We wind down the year with holiday festivities and hopeful thoughts of the year to come. We rejoice in the tastes of gingerbread cookies, delicious holiday hors d’oeuvres and roasts paired with that precious bottle of red wine we have saved for a special occasion. The smell of burning wood, hot mulled wine with cinnamon, pine trees cut for wreaths and decor, and chestnuts from street vendors remind us of the holiday traditions of our past. We are warmed under our down blankets, and visually enchanted by the sight of holiday lights and decorations. The sound of carolers and the crunch of fresh snow beneath our feet are welcomed to complete the story.
As we enjoy the festivities of the season, let’s remember that most importantly this is the month to be aware of others in need and to extend a helping hand.
Happy December and happy holidays!

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on everything you are thankful for like friends and family. It is the time for fellowship with loved ones, and is truly the start of the festive holiday season. This past week everyone in the Mood of Living office went their separate ways to spend Thanksgiving with the ones who mean most to them. Though this one day a year serves as a reminder to be appreciative of everything that we are fortunate enough to have in life, it serves as a reminder to continue to be thankful for everything we have.
